White Swan High School 11th Graders Trained in QPR

On January 18th, 65 White Swan High School 11th graders were trained in QPR. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help
Of the students trained
69% said they definitely know the warning signs of suicide.
69% said they definitely know how to talk to someone if they see warning signs.
67% said they definitely know how to persuade someone to get help if they see warning signs.
