Teen Mental Health First Aid Kicks Off This Week!
Dec 6, 2024
Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) is a national, evidence-based program designed to empower high school students to recognize, understand, and assist friends facing mental health or substance use challenges. The program also equips students to quickly involve a trusted adult for support.
During the 2019–2020 school year, White Swan High School proudly participated as the only Washington State school in the tMHFA pilot program. (Read the Yakima Herald article highlighting our efforts!)
This year marks our third time implementing this vital program with our 10th-grade students. We're excited to continue fostering mental health awareness and support within our school community!
