Primary Project Screenings Underway at Harrah Elementary

Screenings for our spring session of Primary Project have officially begun! This evidence-based, play-focused program helps Harrah Elementary students in kindergarten through third grade adjust to school, build confidence, strengthen social skills, and stay focused on learning. Research shows Primary Project can have lasting, positive effects on students’ mental health—and community support is a key part of its success.

We’re now recruiting volunteers to work with our students. No experience is needed—just a desire to support children through play.

Volunteer Training

• Thursday, January 8, 2026

• 9:00 am–3:00 pm

• White Swan High School Community Room

At the training, you’ll learn why Primary Project works, gain core strategies, and have time to practice. Afterward, volunteers can give as little as 30 minutes a week and still make a big difference for Harrah youth.

Volunteers may also receive a $225 stipend for each child they serve.
