Primary Project Professional Development
Feb 1, 2022
On Monday, January 31st, our three child associates–Lacey Simon, Cesar Zatarain, and Soledad Zintzun–met with Lynn Smith from the Children's Institute in Rochester, New York, to hone their Primary Project skills.
Primary Project is an evidence-based intervention that uses play to help students adjust to school, gain confidence and social skills, and focus on learning. This important program has been shown to have long-term positive effects on the mental health of students who participate.
During the meeting with Lynn, our current child associates were able to ask questions and learn new strategies for supporting our youngest community members.
