Parenting with Tradition Wraps Up Spring Cohort
May 29, 2026
On May 28th, Parenting with Tradition concluded its spring cohort with ten adults from seven families completing the eight-session program.
Parenting with Tradition reconnects Native families with traditional child-rearing practices, blending timeless cultural teachings with modern parenting challenges to nurture strong families, preserve traditions, and empower future generations. The curriculum draws on storytelling, harmony, lessons of nature, and the use of praise, while also addressing the historic impact of boarding schools, intergenerational trauma, and forced assimilation — empowering families to reclaim their heritage.
Congratulations to our graduates!
