New Community Partner Trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid

From August 20th to 22nd, coalition partner Chestina Dominguez achieved certification as a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor. With the support of her employer, Awtni Shix̱witpamá (Yakama Nation Behavioral Health), Chestina will work alongside coordinator Julie Schillreff to deliver Youth Mental Health First Aid training tailored for Tribal Communities and Indigenous Peoples within our local area.

In the coming months, they will host an evening training session for community members. Additionally, on February 14th, 2025, they will offer the training to the entire teaching staff of the Mt. Adams School District.
