Mt. Adams School District Staff Trained in Prevention
Aug 14, 2024
On Tuesday, August 13th, all Mt. Adams School District staff were trained in prevention science.
They reviewed our most recent data on mental health and substance use trends among our youth and explored the risk and protective factors specific to the school environment.
Each staff member also made a commitment to supporting our youth in the upcoming school year. Here are some of the highlights:
"I’m going to be intentional about noticing and praising my students for their hard work and successes."
"I will make at least 5 positive contacts home per week."
"I am going to listen and engage with students that act like they don’t need or want interaction."
"I am going to build room for student input and choice within content and learning."
Great job Mt. Adams staff!
