Mt. Adams Middle School 8th Graders Trained in QPR

We are proud to announce that all our 8th graders have completed training in Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR), an important suicide prevention program. This training equips participants with the skills to recognize warning signs of suicide and effectively question, persuade, and refer individuals at risk for help.

The training was a collaborative effort involving our mental health counselor, Desiree Gonzalez; our coordinator, Julie; ESD 105's Nellie Morning Owl; and our school counselor, DeeDee Gasseling.

We believe that this initiative will empower our students to support one another and create a safer, more caring school environment.
