Helping Teens Help Teens: Mental Health First Aid at White Swan High School

Our 2025–2026 teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) program is officially underway, continuing a strong commitment to student well-being and peer support. teen Mental Health First Aid is a national, evidence-based program that teaches high school students how to identify, understand, and help friends who may be experiencing mental health or substance use challenges, and how to quickly involve a trusted adult when support is needed.

Since the 2019–2020 school year—excluding the COVID shutdown years—all White Swan High School tenth graders have participated in this program, helping build a shared foundation of awareness, empathy, and action among students year after year.
