Health Students Take Action Against Opioid Overdoses
Dec 19, 2024
On December 19th, Ms. Sanchez's health students took part in a powerful Opioid Overdose Prevention and Response training, equipping them with lifesaving knowledge and skills to combat the opioid crisis.
During the training, students learned:
How opioids affect the body
Recognizing an overdose
Responding to an overdose, including how to administer Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose
The session wrapped up with a fun and interactive Kahoot quiz, where students tested their knowledge and reinforced what they learned.
