Empowering 11th Graders Through QPR Suicide Prevention Training
Dec 18, 2025
On December 18th, White Swan High School 11th graders took an important step in supporting mental health and well-being by participating in Question–Persuade–Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training. During the session, students learned to distinguish common myths from facts about suicide, recognize warning signs, and understand what actions to take if they are concerned about a friend or loved one. Students also had the opportunity to apply their new knowledge to a real-life scenario, building confidence in how to respond and seek help.
This impactful training was made possible through a partnership between the coalition and Clementina West from ESD 105, helping empower students to look out for one another and connect peers to support when it matters most.
