Coordinator Certified as SAPST Facilitator

Our Coordinator traveled to Denver, Colorado, from August 4th through 6th to earn her certification as a SAPST (Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training) trainer. SAPST is the foundational four-day training required of all prevention professionals, covering the core concepts, frameworks, and skills that anchor effective substance use prevention work. By becoming certified to teach this training herself, our Coordinator has further deepened her own grounding in prevention science and she's now equipped to bring SAPST directly to new staff and partners here at home, rather than sending them elsewhere to get it. It's one more way she's building our local capacity to do this work well.
