Coordinator Presents to Tribal Council

On Thursday, September 5th, our coordinator was honored to present at Tribal Council, where she discussed the latest data on mental health and substance use, as well as the initiatives we are implementing to support our students in these areas.

She highlighted the following key statistics:

• The percentage of 8th to 12th-grade students experiencing depression decreased from 58% to 40% between 2021 and 2023.

• The percentage of 8th to 12th-grade students considering suicide fell from 37% to 20% between 2021 and 2023.

• The percentage of 8th to 12th-grade students attempting suicide dropped from 36% to 11% between 2021 and 2023.
