Coordinator Attends Montana Summer Institute

Our Coalition Coordinator spent June 16th to 19th at the Montana Summer Institute immersing herself in the Science of the Positive and Positive Community Norming. These frameworks flip traditional prevention messaging on its head by highlighting the healthy choices most people already make, rather than dwelling on the risky behaviors of a few. Alongside prevention practitioners from across the nation, she worked through case studies, data-interpretation exercises, and message-crafting sessions designed to help coalitions replace fear-based campaigns with strengths-based ones grounded in real local data. She's already thinking about how to bring these tools back to White Swan, from reframing Healthy Youth Survey results around protective norms to shaping Summer Jam messaging that celebrates what the community is doing right.
