Building Strong Foundations: Primary Project Training Brings New Volunteers
Jan 8, 2026
On January 8th, eight community members participated in Primary Project training, preparing to support young students through this evidence-based, play-centered intervention. Primary Project uses guided play to help children adjust to school, build confidence and social skills, and strengthen their ability to focus on learning.
Students at Harrah Elementary in kindergarten through third grade are eligible to participate, and research has shown that Primary Project can have long-term positive effects on students’ mental health and school success.
Newly prepared volunteers will begin serving students next week, expanding access to this impactful support for our youngest learners.
