A Strong Start: Primary Project Launches at Harrah Elementary

A joyful and supportive new chapter is underway at Harrah Elementary as Primary Project officially begins. Primary Project uses play to help children adjust to school, build confidence and social skills, and strengthen their ability to focus on learning through caring one-on-one time and play-based activities that support problem-solving, emotional regulation, and positive relationships.

Kindergarten through third-grade students are eligible to participate, and research shows that Primary Project can have long-term positive effects on students’ mental health and overall school success. This year, seven trained volunteers are serving thirty students, helping create a strong foundation where children feel supported, confident, and ready to learn.
