Jan 6, 2026
On January 6th, students in Ms. Sanchez’s ninth-grade health class participated in an Opioid Overdose Prevention and Response training designed to increase awareness and build life-saving skills. During the session, students learned what opioids are, how they affect the body, and how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose.
They also learned how to respond in an emergency, including the importance of calling for help and how to administer Narcan. The training empowered students with practical knowledge to help keep themselves, their friends, and their community safer.
